Serving as the rotary and tactical airlift backbone of the 414th Joint Fighter Group, specializing in air assault, battlefield mobility, and aerial support operations. Operating across contested and permissive environments, the squadron enables ground and air forces through precision lift, close combat attack, and sustained logistical support.

Primary Roles & Mission Sets

Air Assault & Infiltration

  • Rapid insertion and extraction of ground forces

  • Air assault operations in contested terrain

  • Special operations support and low-level ingress

Close Combat Attack & Escort

  • Armed escort for transport and assault aircraft

  • Close combat attack in support of ground forces

  • Suppression of threats during insert/extract operations

Tactical Airlift & Logistics

  • Transport of troops, vehicles, and critical supplies

  • Airborne resupply and sustainment operations

  • Long-range intra-theater airlift

Aerial Command & Coordination

  • Coordination with fixed-wing strike and CAS assets

  • Integration with ground JTAC and GCI elements

  • Multi-ship formation and joint mission execution
